Gestione Motrice Romana Gioie e Piaceri is a collective founded in 2023 by Gaia Maria Rampello and Giorgia Papucci. The name is itself the first artwork — an acronym inspired by commercial abbreviations and expanded as a reflection on authorship
and personality-as-label.
Their research, spanning installation, performance, audio, and video, explores the boundary between product and project, with particular attention to the human presence in creation and production processes.
Collettivo G.M.R.G.P. investigates repetition as a mechanism for constructing reality: a cycle without resolution or evolution.
Seriality emerges and transforms into gestures, into the exacerbation of confrontation between colleagues and friends, in a dynamic of supremacy and assertion. It becomes an object — an experiment in the symbiosis between artwork and market — shifting status depending on the context. Finally, it takes root in the body, a choreographic device and living archive, bearing witness to a system that dissolves human presence into the uninterrupted flow of production.
